SOUTH AFRICA TOUR -
7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS SAFARI
Johannesburg, Kruger National Park
DAY1 ,2& 3
Depart from your Airport to Johannesburg, South Africa:
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met by a Representative and proceed transfer you into the Kruger to Meet Neil (your guide) and Gordon (your chef).
You will be settled into your accommodation and then onto our open-sided safari game viewing vehicle for your first memorable game drive conducted by Neil and your introduction to the world-famous Kruger National Park.
Accommodation: Berg-en-Dal (restcamp) Southern Kruger
Accommmodation is a two bedroomed 6-bedded family unit (fresh linen and towels) with bathroom.
Berg-en-Dal means 'mountain and dale' aptly named for its superb location. Great care has been taken to preserve the natural vegetation in the camp area, which comprises Malelane Mountain Bushveld (woodland), attracting a variety of grazers. The area hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog.
Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Bird watchers will find the appeal of Berg-en-Dal Restcamp irresistible as a wide variety of birds species can be seen here.
Neil will conduct a morning walk on one of the mornings.
Day 3,4,5 & 6
Neil will conduct a morning walk on one of the mornings.
Biyamiti Lodge (private bushveld lodge/south eastern Kruger)
Nestled on the banks of the Biyamiti river, this private bushveld lodge plays host to some of the biggest buffalo herds in the Kruger. Elephants, lion and leopard are frequent visitors to the water pools in front of the lodge, as well as rhino (both white and black rhino) and hyena. Our game drives meander in and out of the river system, up and down rolling hills, and through the mixed thornveld and riverine areas of the Crocodile River.
Accommodation at Biyamiti consists of a two-bedroomed cottage that sleeps five adults, which is fully serviced under beautiful thatched roofs and very comfortable.
In all locations Neil and Gordon take up residence in a nearby unit from which they will host your mealtimes, fireside conversations and hospitality. On your last day after breakfast and a game drive you will be collected and transferred back to Johannesburg.
Typical Safari Days
Guests are privately guided in an open-sided game viewing vehicle and game drives are exceptional in that their guide is able to interpret the behavior, the ecology and relationships of and between all the animals, vegetation and landscapes seen during game drives. His accreditations and qualifications as a field guide and trails ranger are exemplary, and coupled with 12 years of experience in the Kruger make time spent with him a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Big 5 sightings of elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and African buffalo are just as rewarding as all the aspects of being in the African bush in amongst the 148 mammal species, over 500 birds, 350 tree species and a huge diversity of landscapes and eco-zones. It’s our ability to interpret this amazing diversity of wildlife, of cultural and historical influences, as well as unravel the ecological secrets and mysteries that make Africa so special that make us leaders in private guiding in the Kruger National Park.
Kruger nights are wonderful - the southern skies play host to the nocturnal calls of hyenas, jackals, baboons and lion all while you enjoy once-in-a-lifetime moments in the African bush.
Two game drives every day - no schedule for the length or diversity of the game drives except our guest's needs, and what the bush delivers.
Meals on your full service safari
Neil is accompanied by his hospitality chef on safari who spends his day preparing meals, ensuring that all beverages, table settings and mood fires are lit, cooked and ready to present the other important part of a successful safari – mealtimes. Together they make an exceptional team providing guiding and hospitality service that is unmatched in South Africa.
Meals include:
An early morning breakfast (before the first game drive)
A full breakfast (after the first game drive)
Dinner – mostly cooked outdoors, over an open fire
(All local beer, South African wine, bottled water and fresh juice is provided and included in the quoted price on this full service itinerary.)
Nothing is too much trouble on this Safari – and we start preparing menus long before each trip is set to start. Meals are carefully planned beforehand and special diets are catered for.
Game viewing is almost always dependent on what’s happening in the bush.
A pride of lions on a kill, or watching buffalo interaction, or elephants, even simply exploring the diversity of this great wildlife reserve, means that we are well aware that mealtimes must be dynamic. So we always keep snacks and cold drinks on board in the vehicle, just in case.
Safari includes:
Return road transfers from Johannesburg to Kruger.
All private en-suite family accommodation (fresh linen and towels) in two Kruger locations (see below).
Conservation and entrance fees.
All private guiding and game drives in our open-sided game viewing vehicle.
All breakfasts, dinners, game drive snacks and refreshments courtesy of your own private hospitality chef on safari days.

All safari activities as per itinerary (including two game drives a day and a night drive/bush braai or guided morning bush walk).
